The Catering Outfit is a Charlottesville-based, full-service caterer offering refined eclectic cuisine. In 1999 as an undergraduate at The University of Virginia, I founded a catering company focused on serving organizations associated with The University. By the time I completed my bachelor of arts in economics, catering had stolen my heart. In 2003, in tribute to a magical African childhood and to satisfy my growing love affair with food, I opened The Shebeen Pub & Braai, and the Shebeen Pub & Catering Outfit was born. Continued success in our industry has spurred the creation of The Catering Outfit as a separate division, blending exceptional fare with comprehensive event planning and management. Our commitment to local and seasonal ingredients and our passion for special events in the lives of our clients, allow us to do what we love every day.
